21. Solitary
This tire swing - all alone in the shadow of the giant oak tree on a hot summer's day - seemed like a good place if you were in search of solitude. Instead, I got a spider bite on my knee.
Thanks, Hai. You're right - I'm in the South. This photo was taken up in northwest Georgia. If the tire swing wasn't enough, there's also tons of kudzu in the background. Thanks for stopping by!
This one wins the Best Use of Theme for me. I love your staged shots (Lost & Found, Confusing, Shoes) and I thought those were all so creative and well-executed, but this one really signified solitary to me -- somewhere I would like to hang out (parden the pun) for a while. I love the compostion, too -- that rule of thirds worked well for you here. I was a little disheartened to read your things aren't as they appeared comments, but that does not take away from a great, engaging picture.
